The Hosts File can be termed as a computer file used by a operating system to map hostnames to IP addresses. The hosts file is a plain text file and is conventionally named as Hosts .Software updation and Licence checking is related with Host File
In other Windows Os you can edit the Host file with ease. But in windows 7 you should allocate
Some permissions to current user

Let Start Editing Host File:

Locate the Host File

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
(Replace “C:\” is ur Root Drve)

You will Find a Host file there

For easiness of acess I recommend Notepad++

Download Notepad ++

Install Notepad ++

Then Right Click on Host file and select Properties
Click on Security Tab

Select Current user(Username u are logged in with) from list and click Edit
(Note:Current user must be a Administrator)
After clicking Edit again select Current User

Select all Check Boxes under Allow
Click Apply and click Ok Exit all Windows and go back to Ect folder

Right Click on host and Select Edit With Notepad ++
(You will only see this option if you have installed Notepad++ else edit with your default text editor)
